Young People

World Youth Day Lisbon 2023

World Youth Day is happening again after interruption from COVID over the past few years. This year it is in Lisbon, Portugal from August 1-6. The scripture "Mary arose and went with haste" (Luke 1:39) is the central theme. The NZ Catholic Bishops Conference is organising a pilgrimage of young people from New Zealand to travel to holy sites in Europe before attending WYD. Around 120 young people from Aotearoa have signed up to take part in this amazing opportunity! Please keep all the pilgrims in your prayers as we fundraise and prepare to travel to  Europe in July.
